Hola Mohalla, established by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj in the beginning of the 18th century, was introduced as a response to the challenges faced by the Sikh community. While the rest of India celebrated Holi, Guru Ji declared that the Khalsa would observe Hola Mohalla—a time to display martial skill, courage, and unity. This tradition not only strengthened the Sikh spirit but also served as a reminder of their duty to protect and uplift humanity.
